Frequently asked questions.
What if I’m awkward in photos?
Count yourself in good company. I one hundred percent can relate to this and I will happily talk you through poses, tell you bad jokes, or just let you do your thing and pretend like I’m not there. This is your photoshoot and I want you to feel comfortable and natural so that we end up with photos that you are happy with.
Is 30-60 minutes really enough time for a photoshoot?
If you think you need more time, reach out and let’s talk. Usually, I get a great set of photos within that timeframe and people do not find themselves wishing for more time. I make an intentional effort to aim closer to the 30-minute mark for families because I find that littles begin expiring after about half hour.
What should I wear?
When you book, I’ll send you a style guide with tips and tricks for styling for a photoshoot. The most important thing is that you feel like yourself, but I do have some recommendations for you to consider as you choose what to wear. For example, if different people are wearing differing small prints, it can make a family photo look too busy and it can be distracting.
What if I schedule an outdoor location and the weather is bad?
I’m thoroughly invested in you getting beautiful photos - so if the weather is looking like it won’t hold up for us, we’ll come up with an alternate plan. We can either choose a different location, or we can choose a different date, depending on your preference. I know that rain can put a damper of the fun of being outside, but a carefully chosen covered venue can yield amazing photos with natural even light, or moody vibes.
